HOW DO I RESERVE MY DATE?
We require a 25% deposit & signed contract on file to secure your event date. Alterations to guest attendence,menu & rental equipment can be performed up and until ten days prior to your event date. (Further information contained on terms and conditions page)
CAN YOU PROVIDE REFERENCES?
Most definitely! It is totally understandable that one would like references before making such an important decision. Word of mouth is our best form of advertising.
Wedding, Business/Corporate, Special Event Catering Questions Answered
WILL I BE PROVIDED WITH A WRITTEN PROPOSAL?
Yes, after you have the opportunity to review our catering menu options, please contact our office. A member of our sales staff will gather information required for our proposal and answer any questions you may have. You will receive a formal proposal outlining your food selections, any equipment rentals and any other charges associated with your event. This can be forwarded either by email, mail or fax.
DO YOU OFFER TASTE TESTING'S?
Taste testing appointments are complimentary and can be scheduled for events with a minimum of 100 guests featuring a Buffet Package from $12.95 pp or higher. References furnished upon request. Rest assured Gary's Catering is committed to your events grand success!
With such an important decision as to which caterer you'll intrust with making your special event shine, it is a very reasonable request to sample the cuisine you are considering for your special event. During your taste testing appointment, you will meet our Catering Director, Chef Joseph Less who will be pleased to answer any questions in addition to offering his expertise regarding menu options and venue logistics. We are confident that you'll not only love our food but also that you will feel completely comfortable with your decision to use Gary's Catering for your special day

*Appointment dates are subject to availability in Chef Joseph's schedule. Every effort will be made to accommodate your schedule and setup your appointment in an expedient fashion.
WHAT HAPPENS TO ANY LEFTOVER FOOD?
After buffet service is complete and upon clients request; our staff will package up any remaining cooked food requested by client and place in venue's refrigerator. NOTE: Our staff members will not leave any food unattended to be consumed at a later time after the service is completed without the accessibility of on premise refrigeration for it's it safe storage. For Outdoor BBQ Catering Buffets, due to health department regulations and liability concerns, our staff will only be able to wrap up remaining cooked food & salad's and leave on site only if there is accessible refrigeration.
Please note: once our staff has left your premise/venue, Gary's Catering cannot be held liable for proper food safety procedures including storage/consuming of food items.
By signing Catering Contract when reserving your event with Gary's Catering, the Client acknowledges having read our terms & conditions and accepts all liability for safe food handling and its consumption thereafter after contracted event terms are completed.
CAN I PLACE ONE OF MY OWN SPECIAL DISHES ON BUFFET?
We understand that you, a family member or friend may have that special dish that you wish to incorporate in the presentation. This is alright with us, but you will be responsible for safe, proper storage/display. Please let your client serve representative know of any allergies or vegetarian meals you will require and we will be happy to accommodate your request.
WHAT IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE ON MY CONTRACT/INVOICE FOR?
18% Admin Fee applies to all events whereas on site staff is present. This fee coverings everything from the labor to produce the food for your event to the wear & tear on catering equipment, delivery costs, insurance expenses, to the time we spend with you designing and revising your menu. We always give you every ounce of necessary energy to make your event an absolute success and are happy to assist you in any way possible to make your event planning easy and without the typical stress associated with orchestrating a large event.
IS GRATUITY/TIP PART OF ADMINISTRATIVE FEE?
Administrative Fee is not a gratuity that is shared among on-site catering staff. Clients should not feel obliged to offer a gratuity for good service. However, our staff are encouraged to go the extra mile for our valued clients. Staff are permitted to accept cash gratuities entirely at the discretion of our clients' who wish to acknowledge particular staff members for exceptional or outstanding service. In other words, there is genuinely no need to tip, but you should feel free to do so if you have a desire to acknowledge particular individuals with whom assisted in making your event shine.

Gary's Catering was such a blessing to my husband and I on our wedding day. Sheri made the whole experience really easy. They were willing to work with my tight budget, but still made our guests feel like they were getting a really expensive dinner. Many guests kept saying how delicious the baron of beef was. I have to say that when they only sent two ladies to serve the meal, I was a little worried, but they handled themselves beautifully. I highly recommend using Gary's Catering!
In August we had Gary's Catering for our daughter's wedding reception. Not only was the food so tasty(everyone raved) the presentation and the service of the waitstaff made it such a wonderful part of a beautiful day.
Gary's Catering helped me with the arrangements for the luncheon after my mothers funeral. Needing prompt attention for this occasion, the office staff was knowledgable, understanding and helpful with staying within my budget. The waitstaff was very professional and courteous. Of course the meal was delicious, warm, and there was always a prompt replacement for any item that was running low. So many of the guests commented on how they enjoyed all of the dishes and some of them even requested business cards for future occasions. I would highly recommend Gary's Catering for all of your catering needs.
Class Reunion - Dave Murdock
Well it has been over a week since we had our 50th Class reunion at the Wixom Community Center, catered by Gary’s Catering and the compliments are still coming in. The food was great, perfect, outstanding couldn’t have been any better, great job. I want to thank Joseph Less, Executive Chef, for all his help in planning the menu and all his advice on making our event such a great success. I want to thank Sheri Olson in the office and the servers at the Wixom Community Center. Everything went perfect.
